This term we are reading The Lord of the Flies, by William Golding.

Throughout the novel Golding explores two topics in detail -civilization vs savagery, and the loss of children's innocence. As it is in fact an alegory of human nature, each character represents different core traits in people. Ralph represents order and civilization, while Piggy ressembles reason and good sense; on the other hand, Jack shows craving for power and evil and Roger cruelty and sadism at their utmost. Last, Simon represents man's natural goodness.

All the teachers who participate in the Secciones Europeas Programme this year are taking part in this Reading Club, which takes place during our weekly training session for conversation practice, every Wednesday morning.
