One more year, last November 28, we celebrated our traditional and long-standing International Cake Contest. Like every year, we have awarded prizes to the best-quality performances from our students in 1º ESO Secciones Europeas.
The best oral presentation of their recipe went to group number 7, formed by Paula, Fernando, Laura and Alejandro.
Alejandra, Alicia and Alba, group number 1, got the prize to the best decorated cake.
The most delicious cake was the one designed by Adrián Querencia, Alejandro and Laura Murillo, members of group 8.
And the last prize went to the most original cake, the one Ana Galindo, Caludia, Elisa and Marta Valero and Guilherme Guimaraes prepared.
All the winners received great prizes.

Nuestra Auxiliar de Conversación Felicity Sylvester ha creado un blog en inglés en el que va a compartir algunas de sus experiencias e impresiones de su estancia en Talavera. El blog es una interesante herramienta pedagógica porque:
- nos permite leer en inglés sobre una persona a la que todos conocemos,
- nos permite vernos a nosotros mismos desde los ojos sinceros de una persona que nos describe con objetividad.

International Cake Contest 2011

Last Tuesday November 29 the 3rd International Cake Contest at IES Gabriel Alonso de Herrera took place in the traditional Technology Workshop premises.
The Contest involves preparing an international recipe in English with the supervision of the families. Groups can be up to three students. The group always presents the recipe to the audience orally and the jury evaluates the performance of all the participants.
